briefly introduce the three processes of tpu film production and their differences

①castingTPUthe resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder, and extruded from the machine head through the slit die, so that the molten material is tightly attached to the cooling roller, and then the finished product is obtained through peeling, stretching, slitting, and winding.

② tape casting process blow molding: tpu resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder, drawn vertically upward from the ring-shaped machine head, and after inflation, it is introduced into the traction roller through the herringbone plate, and then passes through the guide roller and coiling device to obtain the finished product.

③ calendering by blow molding production process: tpu resin is melted and plasticized by the extruder, extruded from the machine head through the slit die, calendered and cooled by a three-roller calender, and then passed through the cooling conveyor roller and coiling device to obtain finished product.

2. the main differences between the blow molding method and the calendering method are as follows:

① when producing products of the same specifications with the same production capacity, the investment in the calendering process is about ten times higher than that of the blow molding process. only large investments can ensure good quality.

②the calendering production process is far more advanced than the blow molding type, and all performance indicators of the product (tensile strength, tensile elongation at break, right-angle tear strength, water vapor permeability coefficient) are higher than those of the blow molding product, especially in terms of film thickness uniformity, the calendering type is far more uniform than the blow molding type.

③ in terms of material orientation, different production processes also directly affect the stability during secondary heating during construction and welding. the shrinkage of geomembranes produced by the calendering method during welding is much smaller than that of geomembranes produced by the blow molding process.

④when using the same raw materials, the density of products produced by calendering is higher than that of products produced by blow molding.

⑤the thickness range of geomembrane produced by calendering method is much wider than that of blow molding method

⑥the calendering method is suitable for a wider range of raw materials than the blow molding method.

3. the main difference between calendering method and casting method

① for a production line of the same scale, since the tape casting method adopts vertical operation, its operation is more complex and difficult, and the thickness is uneven.

tpu film manufacturerspecial reminder that the tape casting method cannot produce products with a thickness of more than 1.5mm.
