When hot melt adhesive is used to bond clothing fabrics, the temperature setting usually needs to be controlled between 130 degrees Celsius and 160 degrees Celsius. The specific value needs to be adjusted according to the fabric material and adhesive film characteristics. For chemical fiber fabrics such as polyester or nylon, it is recommended to use a lower temperature range, about 130 to 145 degrees Celsius, to avoid shrinkage or melt deformation of the fabric caused by high temperatures. Natural fibers such as cotton, linen or wool can be moderately raised to 150 to 160 degrees Celsius, but it should be noted that wool protein fibers have poor high temperature resistance and the upper limit should be strictly controlled.


In actual operation, the temperature setting needs to be adjusted in conjunction with the pressure and time parameters. If the temperature is too low, the colloid will not fully melt, resulting in weak adhesion and easy degumming. ; If the temperature is too high, glue seepage, fabric damage, or glue layer aging and brittleness may occur. It is recommended to conduct a small sample test before mass production to observe the peeling strength, fabric feel and appearance changes after bonding.


At the same time, attention should be paid to the accuracy of the equipment temperature control system, and the temperature display of the press or hot melt machine should be calibrated regularly to avoid batch quality problems caused by equipment errors. For multi-layer composite fabrics or special materials with waterproof coatings, it is necessary to lower the temperature appropriately and extend the pressing time to ensure that the heat penetrates evenly without damaging the functionality of the fabric.
