In the composite processing of underwear shoulder straps, TPU hot melt adhesive membrane is a widely used environmentally friendly bonding material. Take the production of shoulder straps of a certain underwear brand as an example. The shoulder straps are made of nylon elastic fabric and webbing or padding through hot pressing, and a TPU hot melt adhesive membrane with a thickness of about 0.05 mm to 0.12 mm is sandwiched in the middle. During production, the omentum is laid flat between two layers of materials. After hot pressing at a temperature of about 120 to 150 degrees Celsius and a pressure of about 0.3 to 0.5 MPa, the omentum melts and evenly penetrates and bonds the upper and lower layers. After cooling, a solid body is formed.

The reason for choosing TPU mesh is that it has both good elasticity and resilience, and is highly matched with the stretch performance of elastic fabrics. It does not affect the stretch and recovery of the shoulder straps after bonding, and it is comfortable to wear and not easily deformed. At the same time, the TPU membrane has excellent water resistance. It can still maintain bonding strength after repeated machine washing and soaking in sweat stains, and is not prone to delamination problems. In addition, hot-pressing lamination does not require needlework, which avoids damage to the fabric caused by pinholes, and there is no odor or harmful substance residue from solvent-based glue. The finished product has a smooth and beautiful surface, a soft and breathable feel, and is very suitable for close-fitting wear. This process also greatly improves production efficiency, reduces manual sewing links, and reduces defective rates. It is currently widely promoted in underwear, sportswear and other fields, and is an ideal alternative to traditional sewing and solvent bonding processes.
